Made it!

Two weeks ago when my midwife informed me that I was already dilated to a 3 +, I was nervous that I was going to have a Christmas Day baby! Then on Christmas Eve when I started getting a ton of contractions, I got even more nervous! Thankfully, the contractions went away, and here I sit the day after Christmas, with a stomach as round as Kris Kringle himself. Anytime he wants to come now will be fine with me, I just didn't know how I'd deal with Christmas and a birthday on the same day!
Also - Christmas was awsome this year! A few pics for your viewing pleasure...

The only two things that Braydon asked for this year were a guitar and sunglasses.

My tree only had ornaments on the top half because any ornaments hung within Braydon's reach were at high risk of being overly loved.
The fabulous gingerbread house, decoarted by a two year old.

The stockings were never hung all month long. Braydon was obsessed with pulling them off the hooks.

We went to a fun "ugly sweater" party where a live mouse was given as a white elephant gift. Thank goodness I didn't get it!

Zoo

I think it might be a new family tradition to go to the zoo the day before Thanksgiving for a few reasons:
1- it's free
2- it's not hot
3- the animals are more fiesty in cooler weather
4- it's not crowded

Braydon was more interested in the animals this year, but still not quite sure what to think of some of them. For some reason, the zoo had a housecat on display. This turned out to be Braydon's favorite exhibit. He watched that cat for 5 minutes, where as he was bored with the giraffes within 30 seconds!

Braydon and daddy on display with the prairie dogs.

The monkey turned around and basically mooned us. His bum was so funny, I couldn't resist the photo opportunity!

Charity shower

I hosted a charity baby shower a week before Thanksgiving. (no, not for myself, although I'm sure it seemed a litte ironic to some people). Last summer I was feeling really driven to do some volunteer work, but couldn't find the right thing that would work for me with a two year old in tow. Then I came accross a news story about a program Baby your Baby does in order to help low income pregnant Mom's. I felt like I was lead to this story, and could do this even with a two year old. Unfortunately, I put it off a lot longer than I meant to, and as I got more and more pregnant myself, I had less and less energy to pull it off. Then one day, I finally committed to doing it, and all of the sudden I had energy again. I truly believe I was blessed in order to do this.

My amazing esthetician friend McCall did free eyebrow waxing for everyone that came. I asked all the guest to bring an item to donate to underprivliged Mom's. I had about 30 people show up, and everyone brought fabulous stuff!

Thanks to everyone who came, and especially McCall and Jessie for your amazing support!
